To the person comparing a picture with a dress: a product page holds a fabric line, a chart in inches and a set of pictures. The dress itself it cannot hold. This letter names every gap between the 2 that we know of, so that no line on the site gets read as a promise the page never made.
Pictures: supplied by the partners, some rendered by software
Every product picture is supplied by the partner that stocks the dress. Among the on-model pictures, some were produced by image-generation software from the partner's photographs of the garment: the cut and the color in them are the garment's, while the model, the pose, the room are not photographs of anyone. The flat-lay pictures and the color swatches are the partner's own photographs. The dress in your parcel is the dress in those photographs, in the colorway you picked.
Screens: a shade of difference
Phones run warm. Laptops run cool. Daylight flatters neither. A rose can arrive a touch pinker or a touch browner than it looked on your screen, and that gap belongs to the screen, not to the dress. A color that is plainly another color, or a fabric that is plainly another fabric, is a gap of ours, and the Refund and Returns Policy treats it as ours.
Dye lots and print placement: small variation
Sewn in batches, dyed in batches. 2 dresses of 1 style in 1 color can differ by a shade because they came out of different dye baths, and on a print the flowers or the checks land where the cutter's blade fell, not where the model's dress shows them. Both are normal for clothing made in volume.
Fit: the chart on each page, in inches
S to 2XL, US 4 to 22, on every style, with 1 body chart in inches on every page: bust, waist and hips for each size, a line for choosing between 2 sizes, and a word on the cut, relaxed or fitted. Take a tape to a dress already in your closet, then pick by the numbers. More than 1 partner supplies the dresses, so a Medium cut by 1 partner is not a Medium cut by another, and a size that fits worse than you hoped counts as a change of heart under the Refund and Returns Policy, not as a defect.
Fabric line: as the partner names it
The fabric line on a page is the fabric the partner names for the style, no more. Where no composition is given, none was given to us, and a blank is more honest than a guess. Whatever the label stitched inside the dress says about care overrules this site.
First wash: deep colors alone, cold
Reds, navies, blacks: all can shed dye the first time through water. Wash them by themselves, in cold water, and give printed dresses the line, not the dryer. Shrinkage, fading or pilling after a wash that disobeyed the care label is not a defect.
Skin: dyes and finishes can irritate
A fabric, a dye or a finish meets each person's skin differently, and no page can predict that meeting. A wash before the first wear takes away most of what causes a reaction. A dress your skin does not tolerate can come back under the change-of-heart rules, and it is not a defect in the dress.
Accessories in a picture: not included
The parcel holds the dress. A belt shown loose, jewelry, a bag, shoes, a headband, a slip or a top worn beneath the dress in a picture are styling and stay out of the parcel, unless the page lists them with the item. A belt the page lists as attached comes with the dress.
Delivery window: an estimate, duty a promise
9 to 15 business days is what we expect and what most parcels do. It is not a date on a contract: weather, a customs inspection, a backlog at a carrier or a partner holiday can push the parcel beyond the window, and the Shipping Policy says what happens next and which choices are yours. Among the shipping figures, 1 is a promise and not an estimate: the $0 owed on delivery.
Prices and descriptions: typed by people, sometimes wrong
30 product pages, kept by hand, and now and then a hand slips on a price or a line of description. A price that is an obvious slip is not honored: the order is cancelled, the money comes back in full, and you are told why. The Terms of Service carry the same rule at greater length.
Certifications, awards and medical claims: none
Certifications: none. Awards: none. Press features: none. Affiliate links: none. The dresses are clothing and nothing more; they protect nothing and treat nothing, and no line here is advice about health or skin.
Liability and changes: the order is the ceiling, the date is the version
If an order goes wrong, our liability stops at what the order cost, shipping included, paid back or replaced. An outfit bought elsewhere because a parcel ran late, or any other cost that trails behind a parcel that was late, lost or faulty, sits outside what we owe, and so does harm done by wearing or washing a dress against its label. Rights that your state gives a consumer stand above this page and cannot be removed by it. Changes are dated under the title and count from that date on.
That is the list of gaps, all of them. A question about any of them belongs at the address below.
